Find Book Reviews and Recommendations From Community

by James M. Helms on September 5, 2008

When someone you know reads a great book they inevitably tell everyone about it. I constantly get book recommendations and I can’t keep track of them all. Truthfully I probably only read one out 10 or 20 books that are recommended to me. Bookhuddle fills a needed gap for this situation, it’s kind of like a social bookmarking and networking site that is “book centric”.

Who Cares and Why Should I?

If you want a quick comeback to book recommendations that are directed your way you probably care. Think about it:

Stan: “Hey James I have a book rec….”
James: <cuts off sentence> “Thanks for the thought Stan. I’ve appreciated all of the book recommendations that I have gotten from you in the past, all 1031 recommendations, today is different, I’ve actually got an even better recommendation for you. Have you heard of Bookhuddle?”
Stan: “Book what?”
James: “Bookhuddle dot com. I have an insane number of people recommending books to me all the time, you should join so that we can consolidate our lists of must reads, it saves a lot of time and…”

See what I mean? Rather than passively accepting yet another book recommendation (groan) you can redirect peoples attention to a new web based tool for book networking.

What’s Bookhuddle All About?

Bookhuddle is a book centric site dedicated to books…book networking. After signing up for a free account you can:

  • Discover new books
  • Network with other readers
  • Organize your library
  • Track your reading
  • Share opinions
  • See what your friends are reading
  • And more

There are tons of “must reads” out there. By finding people with the same or similar intrests as you, you can find books that people recommend. This may save you the time of starting a book that turns out to be not so good, a book that you never finish. Likewise you can quickly read about other books that you may have never considered reading before. Book recomendations consolidated into a social networking/bookmarking site.
