I may be a little presumptuous in assuming that you clicked on the link to see what this James M. Helms fellow is all about and the kinds of things that I am interested in. If you’re interested watch the introduction video about this site on the right side of the screen.

About My Business

My businesses name is Informitus Media. Informitus wants to provide valuable services to its clients. I want to be a part of your businesses strategy working through Informitus Media. If that means equipping you or your employees with the information to do it on your own, I am all for it.

What Does Informitus Mean?

Some people have been known to say “Informitus…what a unique name”. Really, it’s a compliment. I know its unique, I made the name up. It’s actually a combination of two words the english word “inform” and an obscure Latin adverbial suffix “itus” that denotes origin. Through Informitus Media I provide internet marketing services, information, and guidance that enables my clients to work with and manage the web for strategic purposes. If you’re interested in a custom Wordpress or Joomla based content management system, I can take of that for you too.

About The Non-bot James

Let me get right down to it, yes, I took that picture myself… I’m a real person. I’m not an automated bot that sends out spam links and sells personal information. I hate spam more than you (seriously) and I don’t want anything to do with it. My strong stance against spam limits my ability to grow fast. If you want someone to spam for you find them without my help, nope, I’m not sorry.

I am an Internet marketer, which simply means that I work with individuals and businesses to match a product or service to a target customer through the Internet. There are a lot of ways to market on the internet. I don’t stand behind one single way to market such as SEO, Social Media, Email Marketing, Pay per click, video marketing, podcasting, or Banner ads. Every situation, business, and individual needs to be marketed in a way that fits their overall strengths and strategy. Internet Marketing needs to encompass a variety of tactics, I work with all of them.

I recognize and am a proponent of thinking strategically and from a bigger picture than “getting hits”. I don’t market every company that wants me to. I avoid (like the plague) working with or being associated with companies and individuals who don’t put their customers first. If I don’t provide value at the end of the day I don’t have a good day. If you don’t put your customers first you can have a bad day by yourself.

I have strategic alliances with other businesses that allow me to offer an expansive line of services to my clients. I would love to hear from you.

About Today’s Best Tools

Watch the Video at the top right of the page. Today’s Best Tools is a simple blog that talks about web based tools. The web is a tool, blogging platforms are tools, applications are tools. Web based services are tools…everything is a tool for you to use. I subjectively assess tools and write about tools that are cool and useful. If I haven’t written about your tool yet it may be for one of the following reasons:

  • There are only 24 hours in a day.
  • I don’t know about your tool, or I don’t like your tool…or I know about it and it may not be developed enough.
  • your tool is a commodity (there is a ton of competition and you don’t have a differentiating approach).
  • I am uneducated about your tool. Honestly, there is so much that I don’t know, I readily admit that I am a non-bot and fully human.

Well, what else do you want to know? What did I leave out?

How can we work together in the future? Contact me to begin a discussion.
