Leveraging social bookmarking sites is a great way to find relevant information without too much filtering. There are quite a few really useful bookmarking sites that you can use. One of my favorite bookmarking sites is Delicious. Delicious is pretty valuable, a new site called Delizzy makes Delicious 100 times more valuable.
What is Delizzy and Why Should I Give a Hoot?
Delizzy is a service that allows users to search Delicious bookmark tags, titles, descriptions, and page content. When you leverage Delizzy you are able to find relevant sites that were bookmarked by other users. If multiple other users have found the pages useful your search has already been pre-filtered and the results that you have are superior to results of the best search engines available.
Yadda Yadda, Doesn’t Delicious Already Have a Search Feature?
Yes it does. When you search Delicious for relevant content you normally find some great sites. Delicious searches tags, titles, and descriptions of bookmarked pages. Delicous does not search the actual pages that you bookmarked. Since the search results are limited in what they search you are not getting optimal search results. Delizzy gives you more relevant results for the search terms that you use to query the database of bookmarked pages.
