Turn Google Searches Into RSS Feeds

by James M. Helms on July 15, 2008

Many of you may be familiar with the ability to grab the RSS of a search in Yahoo for monitoring in a feed reader. The Yahoo RSS feed has been available for searching for some time, Google on the other hand has not offered the same ability. While Google still does not offer an RSS feed there is a new site around that does.

Enter FeedMySearch.com, they make it easy to convert a Google search feed  into RSS and import it into your feed reader of choice. The Google searcher has the option of converting search queries within news, blog, local, patent searching, image searching and more. After conducting the search using FeedMySearch the feed can be added to your feed reader of choice using the Addtoany button. Its simple to use and provides a great data feed that can be monitored easily.

In the case of natural search results a one postion move on the first page can directly equate into huge traffic changes for a site. A webmaster or marketer can see a search influx and where the traffic is coming from and how. For personal analytics FeedMySearch may not be really useful. There are a variety of additional ways you can use data gained from search results.

If you perform the same search query often and repeatedly look for updated content the RSS feed enables you to save a lot of time. By using search feeds you can quicky access relevant information and changes within the results. Having access to the Google search feed expands the RSS users ability to save time and access the right information fast.
